The Foundation for Carson City Parks & Recreation has partnered with the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department to support the Movers and Doers Adaptive Recreation Program. A fund has been created which will assist in helping the program meet its goal of providing recreational experiences for people with intellectual and/or physical disabilities and their families.

Activities are designed to contribute to the physical, mental, social, emotional growth and development of all individuals. Quarterly calendars are provided to inform participants of the many fun filled activities such as movie night, kayaking, field trips, arts & crafts, bingo, bowling, dances, potlucks and much more.
