In 2018, the Foundation for Carson City Parks & Recreation received $39,000 donation from the Comstock Sports Organization to add a second exit/entrance roadway at the Pete Livermore Sports Complex in southeast Carson City. The CSO Board of Directors requested the donation be used to support the direct costs associated with the exit/entrance roadway, such as design and engineering costs, material and labor costs, and administrative expenses.

Since additional funding needed to construct the roadway did not materialize, the CSO board vested in the Foundation the authority to use the donated funds for other improvements to the complex as determined by the Foundation.
