During the process of documenting the more than 11,000 graves at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City, it was discovered there are hundreds of graves with no headstone or marker. Funds are currently being raised through private donations to purchase headstones for these individuals.

This Headstone Project was accepted as an approved project through the Foundation for Carson City Parks & Recreation in 2015. One hundred percent of all donations are used to purchase headstones for those individuals buried at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

The Headstone Project is accepting donations to continue this important work. Donations may be made as follows:
